About Dragon Equipment: Quality British-built Construction, Demolition and Landscaping Equipment
Dragon Equipment was born from a need for innovative and practical construction solutions. Our founder, Jeff Haines, faced a common problem: needing a concrete crusher for a home project, but finding existing machines unsuitable for accessing his back garden. This challenge sparked the creation of our flagship product, the CR300 Mini Crusher.
From Garden Project to Industry Innovation
Jeff's engineering expertise led him to design and build a PTO-driven crusher box compatible with his garden tractor. This ingenious solution, initially designed for personal use, quickly proved its wider potential. It was Jeff's son, Zac, who recognised the market opportunity, encouraging him to refine the design and bring it to a broader audience. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of Dragon Equipment's journey.
Building on Expertise and Partnerships
Jeff's extensive industry network was instrumental in developing the CR300 Crusher. Prioritising local suppliers whenever possible, he sourced and fabricated the necessary components, building strong relationships along the way. A key early partner was Briggs & Stratton, who provided the engine for the prototype and offered Dragon Equipment a launch platform at the 2019 Saltex Show. This event marked our official introduction to the construction equipment industry, with Briggs & Stratton generously hosting us on their stand.
